The challenge

Creating the DTenV Podcast came with several challenges. First and foremost, the subject is quite sensitive and complex: the return of rejected asylum seekers evokes many different opinions and emotions. It was important to approach this theme with care and respect, without obscuring the facts. Additionally, we wanted to tell the stories of DTenV employees and (former) directors in a way that is both informative and accessible to a wide audience. Logistically, there were also challenges, such as coordinating interviews at different locations and flying in various former officials from the time of DTenV's founding.

The Result

The end result is an engaging and informative podcast series that provides listeners with insight into the work and history of DTenV. The series answers questions such as why DTenV was established, what motivates the employees, and what valuable lessons the directors have learned. The podcast has helped to better understand the complexity and challenges of DTenV’s work. The positive feedback from listeners and stakeholders shows that the podcast is a valuable tool for increased transparency and understanding.
